If you read my last post about sales, funnels, you’ll know that sales funnels are the key to systemizing sales and growth for your business.

While understanding the theory behind funnels gives you a framework to work within, it doesn’t give you the tools you need to optimize your sales funnel at every stage of the buyer’s journey.

In this blog, I’ll be going over the best sales funnel software tools you can use to get started creating effective and automated sales funnels today.


At the very top of the sales funnel, the objective is to be seen by your customers. But how do I do this?

Here are a few of our suggestions:


Hootsuite is a social media manager and scheduler. This awesome tool allows you to not only schedule your social media posts ahead of time, but also collaboratively manage your inboxes as well as analyzing your social medias cross-channel.


If you don’t want all of the bells and whistles Hootsuite provides, Buffer is a great alternative that is cheaper and just what you need if all you’re doing is scheduling posts.


If you’re not investing in SEO early, you’ll regret it down the road. SEO or search engine optimization is the process of optimizing your website and content to show higher on search engines like Google or Bing.

Ahref is an amazing tool that allows you to stay up to date with your SEO performance as well as find content that you can potentially outperform in terms of key words.


At this stage of the funnel you’ve already introduced yourself to your prospects. They’ve perhaps engaged with a few of your posts or even too a peak at your website.

To push them further down the funnel, you need to find a way to get your prospect to make a mirco-investment into your business. Either by liking/following your social media accounts or hopefully leave their cell phone numbers to receive text updates about your industry or even receive an e-book.

Typeform is one of our favorite form software. This is because they make forms more human, something our team can get behind. 

You can use it to capture your customer’s information at any stage of the sales funnel. I highly recommend investing in a form builder so that you can retarget your new contacts with text messages, paid ads, or any channel you could use to reach out to them.

If you’re looking to track your customers habits on your website, then you can’t get any better than full story. You can use this software to observe exactly what your customers do when they visit your website so that you can improve your design as well as learn about your customers preferences.


Have you ever visited a webpage and seen a chat widget on the bottom right? If not, trying clicking the one on this site to see what I mean.

Intercom is an excellent tool that helps you communicate with your customers live on your site as well as automated emails, on site messages, and correspondence with your customers.


If you’re running paid campaigns on social media or search engines, it’s important to create landing pages for a few reasons.

With the ability to hyper-target your prospects with ads, you will find more success creating landing pages that reflect the needs of your targeted audience. 

If you’re just getting started, Leadpages is an effective tool to start building landing pages without breaking the wallet.


If you’re already experienced with landing pages or may want more customization, Unbounce is the landing page builder for you.

Unbounce has all the features of leadpages, but offers more customization when it comes to the design of your landing page as well as pop ups. 


This stage of the sales funnel is exactly how it sounds. Your lead is trying to make a decision on which product or service is best for them.

It’s important to target your customers with educational content when they are at this stage because they could make a purchase any second.

My team personally uses Intercom to re engage and message website visitors who come to our website. This is a great option if you want to maintain a high standard of service for your customers and provide a more human experience through their automated messaging.


While I don’t personally believe email is the most effective way to re engage your leads, it still has a place in your sales funnel. Mailchimp is a cheap and simple way to start engaging your customers with emails.

Respond Flow

Respond Flow is an SMS platform that allows you to contact your customers with automated texts. Today, customers don’t view their mailbox like they used to. Fortunately they are constantly looking at their phones for tweets, insta likes, and text messages.

If you have a more serious online business, you’re likely using woocommerce or shopify. Both services allow you to accept payments as well as manage your products easily on your ecommerce page.


Stripe is what my team personally uses. Although it requires more technical knowledge to implement, Stripe has some of the best features to help you grow and scale your business with their smart payments system.

If you’re trying to get your messages seen by your current customers then a well timed text message is your best bet. Unlike email, where the average open rate is 18%, text messages are opened 98% of the time.

If you’re trying to drive repeat customers or get them to actually leave reviews, then send your promotions to your customers via text where they will actual open it.
